Ever been for a run in the rain? I’m talking about when it’s really raining. Like when jumping in puddles and taking a shower can no longer be distinguished.

It feels good doesn’t it? Like all the hard yards you put in are worth more than running on a sunny day.

Rain is good. It says to us, “here’s my challenge and if you conquer me you’ll be better off for it”. It builds character. And confidence. It forces us to step outside our comfort zones and achieve success.

We need to give our young athletes more rain. What’s the worst that could happen? They get a little wet?
