The benefits of exercise begin from as little as 10-15 minutes a day of simple aerobic exercise and increase steadily until you reach 60 minutes a day.  Above 60 minutes a day the increase in benefit is less marked.  Exercise can be undertaken in one bout per day or in small chunks, sometimes referred to as “snacktivity”.  It’s the healthiest snack around.

Regular exercise is like a medicine!  The ideal dose is probably 30-60 minutes a day undertaken on most or all days of the week.  Unlike taking other medicines it can be fun to take and shared with others!  Exercise has no drug interactions.  It is generally safer to exercise than to drive your car.  You can usually safely multi-task when you exercise.

Please have an active day!

Healthzone Medical is located on the ground floor inside the AUT Millennium Institute of Sport and Health.  Go through the entrance doors of the main building, past the Café and past the stairs and on the left you will see us.

Medical Carparks: Please be aware that if you park in a medical carpark and do not have a medical appointment you could be towed.  The medical carparks are well signposted and run along the fence line to the main building of AUT Millennium – your co-operation would be much appreciated.
