I’m really pleased to be joining the team at Healthzone Medical.
I will be working part-time as I also work at two Accident and Medical clinics.
I graduated from Auckland Medical School and began my training in General Practice after several years of hospital-based medicine. In 2001, I returned to the public hospital system and worked in the emergency departments at North Shore and Waitakere hospitals for the next 10 years. I gained a huge amount of experience in acute medicine while working there, but eventually decided I needed a break from shift work.
I returned to general practice and gained my GP Fellowship in 2016. I love working in the primary care setting where I can get to know a patient and their family.
I really enjoying seeing children and have a Postgraduate Diploma in Paediatrics from the University of Auckland. I am very confident in assessing unwell children as well as helping with advice on various childhood problems, and believe that parental concern is never trivial.
I also have interests in women’s health and the way that lifestyle can influence wellbeing and disease.
