Hannah works full time with us at the National Aquatic Centre. You can see her friendly face in the mornings on weekdays. She has been working at AUT Millennium for around a year now.
Q: Tell us something interesting about yourself.
A: I escaped winter for 4 years and worked and travelled America during their summer months before starting at AUT Millennium. I love to travel.
Q: What do you like about working at the AUT Millennium?
A: I enjoy being able to watch amazing athletes compete when we have events on and have always worked at pools so it’s awesome working at such an amazing complex like the National Aquatic Centre.
Q: What historical figure would you most like to have a discussion with?
A: Probably Tutankhamun, I’ve always been interested in Egyptian history
Q: If you could be on the cover of any magazine, what would you choose?
A: Fashion Quarterly. I love fashion and dressing up!
Q: What is the scariest scene you remember from a kid’s movie?
A: The first thing that came to mind was when Mufasa died in the Lion King. I have always loved scary movies so it takes a lot to scare me but that really upset me 🙁
Q: If you were directing a movie, who would you cast as your leading man and woman?
A: Robert Downey Jr and Milla Jovovich, two of my favourites.
Q: What is your favourite event in the Olympics?
A: Definitely Gymnastics. It’s amazing what gymnasts can do
Q: What profession have you always admired?
A: I would love to be an artist. I love photography and painting and think it would be awesome to create your own hours and travel as you work
Q: If you could sing one song on American Idol, what would it be?
A: Clarity by Zedd, one of my favorite songs of all time
Q: If you were 80 years old, what would you tell your children?
A: Always have fun! Money isn’t everything and experiences and memories are more important than things. That’s what I try to live by.
Q: What’s your favorite movie of all time and why?
A: I love watching movies so it’s tough to pick just one. Probably Despicable me or Beetlejuice
Q: If you could be any fictional character, who would you be and why?
A: Either Alice from Alice in Wonderland, because she gets to see lots of magical places and creatures or a superhero because it would be so cool to have super powers!
