You are probably aware of the physical benefits of boxing for fitness such as increased cardiovascular conditioning (heart and lung health), fat-loss, muscle gain, and improved balance and coordination. But boxing also does wonders for your mental health and is scientifically proven to improve self-confidence and decrease stress.

What is your background in boxing?
I started boxing in 2015 when I trained for my first charity boxing fight. I competed again in 2016 for my second bout. I’ve been training and learning from some of the best combat sport coaches in the industry in order to grow and develop my skillset and implement these tools into my coaching.

What made you try it in the first place?
A good friend of mine asked me to sign up for a charity boxing fight in 2015. I initially said no, but she asked again and again until I broke and said yes. Best decision I’ve made in my life!

Favourite thing about teaching boxing:
Passing on the tools and lessons that I have learnt through my personal journey of boxing to others.

What is your background in boxing?
I’ve been involved in boxing for a few years now. I began as a competitive fighter across all codes (boxing, kickboxing and mixed martial arts). I am now fortunate enough to teach people the knowledge I have gained over the years.

What made you try it in the first place?
A friend of mine took me to one of his classes one day and I absolutely fell in love with the sport.

Favourite thing about teaching boxing:
Being able to see the progress people have made from when they first started.

As a trainer, what is the most common misconception people have about Boxfit?
That boxing isn’t a full body workout… Once you take my class, you’ll soon find out that isn’t true!
